Free Time of a Computist
---------------------------------------
Even a sworn computer-user, a
computist, like I or TWS has sometimes
some notions of doing something else
than just phreaking. Then we feel our
body crying for punishment and we go to
play badmington. That's right, a hobby
that doesn't involve computers as is,
but a heavy torture that gets your
every gland to pour sweat and every
muscle to scream for rest.
In badmington you have a bat, a ball,
which is called shuttlecock and a
playing court with one or three other
players. The goal of the game is to hit
the shuttlecock on the other side of
the net that divides the court so hard
or so difficultly that your opponent(s)
can't return it. The serve is as in
volleyball, from a miss the opponent
gets the ball and points come from
serves only.
TWS started playing just yesterday
(now is Thursday the 19th) and right
now he is lying on the bed moaning as

his aching muscles still protest from
the ordeal of two hours of hard play.
He can't sit, he barely can stand, he
almost screams when he tries to walk,
but he'll be there when we play some
more next Friday night at 8.00 PM.
Badmington is an addictive game. The
rhytm of the game is lightning fast.
Even though the all flies slower than
in tennis, it has a shorter ways to go
and the player has less time to react.
Also moving is hard as the player must
rush into a corner, hit the ball and
then return into the middle of the play
ground in order to be able to reach the
next ball. We recommend highly.

Have you checked the mirror today?
Did you, by any chance happen to notice
strange hair around the lower half of
your face? When you sniffed, did you
feel a weird, bad smell? Have you
forgotten to change your socks for the
last three weeks? If you answer yes to
all three questions, you have a great
change to have contracted Grendelism.
Only known cure for it is - death.<G&T>
